Design Thinking

The Design Thinking system is essentially an iterative point of view aimed at solving problems. It puts the user at the center of the process while taking advantage of the skills of a highly disciplined team with the ability to create creative solutions. Entrepreneurs and managers raise the relevance of their analysis by embracing and integrating Design Thinking into the range of existing management resources, integrating a broader vision of the subject of strategic Design Thinking, and this simultaneously fosters creativity and meticulousness in controlling selected solutions.

Reasons for Using Design Thinking

Design-Oriented Thinking; For this reason, it is an internationally accepted innovation method for creating services, products, experiences, strategies and systems. It is especially used when the problem does not require a predefined response typology and does not want to narrow the scope of possibilities. It is a method that can be applied in all departments of organizations.

For example, a problem can intersect in many ways and have many ways to provide an answer. Research focuses on users. Thus, it brings insights (consumer information points). These may be related to issues or requirements we will try to resolve through the product or service. The answer to meeting their needs is thus freed from internal constraints. Therefore, it is easier to determine the correct angle to implement the solution.

Innovation Process

A project begins by defining a precise question to which we can give a creative answer. Creativity is expressed in moments of differentiation (openness to expansion) and convergence (choice of possibilities) at each step. A Design Thinking process is structured in three different and successive degrees, but they can be iterative:

  1. Inspiration: Perceive the needs and demands of users, as well as the economic and technical challenges of their environment.
  2. Creating ideas: Imagine, together with users and partners, innovative solutions perfectly tailored to the needs.
  3. Implementation: Build a prototype and then test directly with users for their feedback before implementing it.

Design Thinking Features

Design Thinking puts users at the center of service design. First, because they are the beneficiaries of innovation, but the precise goal is to create value in return for the organization. Empathy is therefore a key condition throughout the process in order to clearly identify users' needs and provide an adequate response to them. Users can be customers of a firm, citizens of a management, members of a cooperative, or even employees of an organization.

With regard to users, it is important that the involved participants are multidisciplinary as it makes it possible to respond to the complexity of projects. Users, experts, collaborators, partners, all stakeholders create value throughout the process if their participation is integrated into the process.
